Nordic Business Forum 2025: Humanity, change and AI sparked discussion

This year’s Nordic Business Forum brought together world-class thinkers and leaders to reflect on the future of work, leadership and technology. The event was full of inspiring perspectives, but three themes especially resonated with us at Sarake.

The future of work and culture

Tomorrow’s workplaces will be defined less by rules and structures, and more by humanity, empathy and listening. A strong culture is not only about alignment or efficiency, but about creating belonging, growth and meaning. When people feel understood across generations and backgrounds, teams become both resilient and humane.

Favorite quote:
“Strong cultures don’t just align people, they keep them alive by nurturing learning, belonging, and meaningful work.” -Gianpiero Petriglieri

Change as opportunity, not threat

Uncertainty is here to stay. Instead of treating it as a challenge to avoid, we need to see it as possibility in its purest form. Developing a flux mindset means learning to embrace change, take steps forward even without all the answers, and recognize that growth requires active choice.

Favorite quote:
“Uncertainty is opportunity in its purest form.” -April Rinne

AI as a partner

Artificial intelligence is not an enemy but a powerful tool. Yet its value depends on how well we know ourselves. Machines can take over tasks, but they cannot replace perspective, meaning or creativity. Our lived experiences and values are what give direction and purpose – and that cannot be replicated by AI.

Favorite quote:
“We are a collection of data gathered during our life, which gives us a point of view. It is our value, AI does not have that.” -Rick Rubin

A reminder to stay curious

One more thought that stayed with us:

“The more we know, the less we question.” -Diana Kander

Conclusion

Human-centered culture, the ability to embrace change, and treating AI as a partner all point in the same direction: the future of work will be built on curiosity, empathy and adaptability
